The adhesive industry continues its growth path: in particular the constant increase of demand from industries where advanced composites are of central importance brings a clear upward trend according to the specialty chemicals company Bodo Möller Chemie. A current study shows that amongst others, the international aerospace industry ensures that specialized adhesives for composites will reach a total market of 1.17 billion US dollars over the next five years. Especially adhesives based on epoxy resins will shape the production and development of numerous industries in the coming years.

The EN 9100 standards are based on numerous laws, regulations and requirements for the aerospace industry. They were developed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) based on ISO 9001 and applied worldwide by all leading companies in the aerospace industry as a quality standard for their suppliers. The EN 9100 corresponds to the American standard AS 9100 and the Asian standard JISQ 9100.
