Nucleating agents

Ever since conventional nucleating agents were introduced for the first time in the 1960s, they have played a crucial role as additives, for example in the processing of polypropylene (PP). Through the addition of nucleating agents, the crystallinity and crystal structure are influenced in order to achieve higher translucency.
Nucleating agents known as "clarifiers" are soluble in the melting process so as to achieve a nuclear density that is many times higher.
